Every single person in this world waits the whole week for Sunday to come. It is the inviting break from the daily monotony of life and busy schedules. Everyone loves to get up late on Sundays and spend the most of the time in bed or enjoying the activities they love. Nobody loves to be busy in the kitchen the whole day so here we have some of the quick recipes for your Sunday so that you can enjoy the delicious foods without having to spend hours in the kitchen and still enjoying your Sunday.
1. Potato Crusted Pizza: Let’s give the daily normal pizza a special taste and look by topping it with crushed potatoes and make your Sunday special.
What we need: 500 grams of red bell peppers, Olive oil cooking spray, optional,500 grams trimmed of both ends, cut into 1-inch-thick slices, 700 grams of white potatoes (scrubbed well), 250 grams of shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese,1 tsp dried oregano
Let’s make it: Pre-heat oven to 475°F and roast red bell peppers for 15 minutes. Put them aside and let them cool for 15-20 minutes and when they get cool enough to handle remove seeds and cut peppers into 1-inch long strips. Reduce the temperature to 375°F and put eggplants on a baking sheet and roast them for 15 minutes. In the meantime grate the potatoes. Squeeze extra water from potatoes and place them on dry paper and roll paper to remove any excess moisture Spread the potatoes on sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes at 375°F. After the potatoes crust is baked, remove it from the oven while topping it with peppers, eggplant, mozzarella cheese. Again bake it for 20 minutes and your delicious brunch is ready.
2. Oats egg Omelette: Egg recipes are one of the most quick and healthy options for Sunday.
What we need: 1/4 cup oats flour, 2 eggs, salt (as per taste), 3 tsp milk, turmeric, oreganos (as per taste), 2 tsp onions, 2 tsp capsicum, 2 tsp grated carrot, 2 tsp grated tomato, 2 green chilies and coriander leaves chopped finely.
Here we go: Add oats flour to a bowl add all the spices. Then add milk and make a lump free batter. Then add eggs and beat it. Heat oil in a pan when it is hot enough pour the mixture. Add all the veggies forming a layer when one side is cooked flip it. Serve it hot with green chutney or tea.
3. Quinoa Pancakes: What else will be perfect for a Sunday morning than pancakes and that too with a healthy twist of Quinoa.
Groceries required: 2 cups quinoa flour, 2 tbsp brown sugar, 2 tsp baking powder, 1 1/2 cups milk, ½ tsp salt, 2 Tbsp honey, 2 eggs, Oil to cook
How to make: Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and make a thick batter. Heat oil in a pan and pour a ladle of the batter into the pan and let it cook and then turn and cook another side too. Serve with maple syrup and fresh fruits.
